Sing for Your Supper!
Many of you have been listening to Dr. Joseph Becker on the radio for years, or perhaps you’ve watched him on YouTube, or maybe you’ve heard him sing in one of his many performances with the Yampa Valley Singers or the Steamboat Chamber Singers.
Well, now you have an opportunity to meet with him, learn from him, and sing with him and his friends, in person. Every Thursday night, this summer, starting in June, people will be gathering from far and wide at the home of Joe and Emily Becker to participate in Sing for Your Supper—and you could be one of them.
A capella singing is a rich part of our faith heritage. The blending of our voices, as we sing with grace in our hearts, is more than a joyful noise—it is deep, calling unto deepa mystical communion of the soul (body and spirit), with one another, and with Christ.
At Sing for Your Supper, we will worship in song and prayer, and then enjoy a meal prepared by Dr. Becker—a chef in his own right. After dinner, we will sing a parting hymn, and then—for those who wish to stay—Dr. Becker will be available, in an open forum, to answer theological and biblical questions.
Sing for Your Supper will be hosted every Thursday night this summer, at the home of Joe and Emily Becker. For information about starting times, the address, or to reserve a place at the table, send an email to,
or send a message to Dr. Becker on
or Twitter
Everyone is welcome, but space is limited, so RSVP today to secure your reservation. You’ll be glad you did.
