Joe Becker has been with us since the beginning of 2008, and has been bringing us thought-provoking sermons ever since. Joe has been involved in Christian ministry for 36 years, launching his first efforts as a set builder, lighting & sound technician, script writer and puppeteer in the puppet ministry of the Central Church of Christ in Wichita, KS, when he was 12 years old. In the 27 years since Joe began working in full-time Christian ministry, he has served the Kingdom as a Family Teacher, Teaching Parent, Youth Minister, Worship Leader, Liturgist, Choral Director, Inner-City Missionary, Bible Teacher, Event Planner, Volunteer Coordinator, and Preaching Minister. As the preaching minister at the Steamboat Church of Christ, Joe has sought to bring fresh messages with scholarly insight to the congregation every week, and his lessons have drawn international attention from listeners around the world.
Joe received his bachelor’s degree from Friends University in Wichita, KS; his Master’s degree from Southern Christian University in Montgomery, AL; and his doctoral degree at the University of Wales, Lampeter.
Joe’s book, Paul’s Usage of Xápis in 2 Corinthians 8-9: An Ontology of Grace, is available at Edwin Mellen Press and at Amazon Books. He has a number of other books in the works, including his own translation of the Bible, The Right Word. Check back here periodically for updates on completed projects and publication information.
